Crafty individuals - Happy Mothers Day Daffodil card

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm a little late posting this card as Mother's Day has obviously passed.
This was a really simple card using daffodils from Crafty Individuals.

Stamp and emboss the daffodils and bee onto a piece of white card.

Using a synthetic brush apply some masking fluid to the stamped image.

Water colour the background by dabbing some stormy sky distress ink on a tile and pick the ink up with a paintbrush.

Randomly stamp CI-214 with chipped sapphire distress ink.
Dab the ink on a tile, using a fan brush splatter some ink in the background.

Carefully rub the masing fluid off and colour with pro markers.

I decided to die cut the daffodils.
Cut another piece of card slightly larger than your die cut piece.

Using a ball tool draw around the daffodils and bee.
Flip it over and you should be able to see an indentation of the flowers. Use this as a guide to dry emboss them by rubbing the ball tool in circular motions. Be careful not to push too hard and rip the card.

Using a pre-folded 6x6 card blank water colour the background with stormy sky.
Splatter some ink with a fan brush and then randomly stamp with the script again.

Stamp and emboss the Happy Mothers day sentiment in the bottom right corner.

Stamp, emboss and colour a couple more bees in the top left corner.

Draw a border around the edge and mount all components onto the card base.

Dolphin Mothers day card

Evening everyone!!

Hope you're all keeping well and have managed to enjoy some of this lovely weather we've got at the moment.

Made this card for my partners mum for Mother's day and thought I'd share how I made it.

Stamp and emboss the dolphins without the fish - I actually snipped all the fish off the image so I could use them separately in the background.

Stamp it out a second time but this time mask off the front Dolphin with masking tape before inking. You should now be left with a dolphin without a fin. Draw in the missing features with a pencil, then cut them out.

Colour with promarkers then go over the pencil lines with black pen. The reason I left the black pen until after colouring is because the pens are alcohol based and can smudge some pens.

Die cut some white card to fit an A5 card base.
Dab stormy sky on your messy mat.
Lightly sprinkle the pretty gets gritty powders and spritz with water.
Dab the card into watery ink. Once covered dry with a heat gun and pick some more ink up. This has to be my favourite technique for creating under the sea scenes.
Once dry, distress the edges with chipped sapphire,

Stamp and emboss the Happy mother's day sentiment.

Repeat the inky background process again for the sentiment and cut a navy blue mount.

Die cut the you are wonderful sentiment die in navy blue card.

Die Cut the letters MUM. Keep them in place in the die and ink through using villainous potion. Then go around the edge (while still in the die) with chipped sapphire.

When you leave the letters in the die and ink through, you'll be left with a lovely white border around the edge.

Stamp a few fish in the background and colour with promarkers.

Secure all the pieces onto a pre-folded A5 card blank.
Add a few sequins.

Crafty Individuals Dolphin card

 Hi Everyone!!

Finally got round to playing with this gorgeous Dolphin stamp, made this really simple card.

Die cut a navy mount to fit on a 6x6 card blank.

Cut a slightly smaller layer in white - this will be your main card topper.

I'm afraid I'm not sure who makes these nesting dies as I no longer have the packaging for them, but you could use any nesting dies to create the mount and topper.

Stamp and heat emboss the dolphin stamp on the white card topper.

Apply drawing gum over the entire image using a nylon brush. This will act as a resist.
Dab the distress ink on a messy mat. Lightly sprinkle pretty gets gritty explosion powder and spritz with water. Pick the ink up by dabbing your card repeatedly in the inky mess. Dry with a heat gun and repeat the process again to achieve a splattered watery background.

I decided to stamp a few extra small fish so I snipped the smaller separate fish away from the dolphins.
Stamp and emboss the extra fish.
Randomly stamp the counting down numbers in stormy sky distress ink.

Remove the drawing gum by carefully rubbing your finger over the image. It should peel off in little rolls/balls.
Colour the dolphins and fish with Pro Markers. Then add some white highlights.

Using a foam mat draw around the dolphins with a ball embossing tool then turn it over. You should be able to see the edges of image from where you drew around it on the front. Rub the tool in circular motion over the dolphins. Be careful not to push too hard as you can rip the card.
Stick the main topper on the navy backing.

Mount onto a pre-folded 6x6 card blank.
Add some sequins and a few glitter specs.
Apply a layer of pinflair craft glaze over the dolphins to give them a slight glossy look.
