Hi Everyone.
Hope your all keeping safe and well!
So I have some really exciting news to share with you all.......
I was asked if I would like to join the crafty individuals design team. I can’t tell you how excited I am! I’ve never really considered joining any design teams before now but really couldn’t say no to this as they just so happen to be my favourite stamp company!
Of course this has now encouraged me to make sure I blog more. I’m terrible at keeping this up but hopefully you’ll see a few extra posts than normal.
Anyway I’m going to talk you through this simple card using CI-549.
Cut a piece of card to fit on a 5x7 card blank.
Stamp the little boy slightly to the right hand side of the card and emboss with clear embossing powder.
Colour your image. I normally use Arteza watercolour pens.
Create a mask by stamping the image on masking paper and cut it out. This is amazing stuff and if your careful you can use it over and over.
Make sure your coloured image is totally dry and place the masking image over the stamped image on your card.
Ink a small section at the bottom of the card with scattered straw to represent the sand.
Now using stormy sky ink the top section to represent the sea/sky.
I didn’t take the ink all the way to the edge of the card as I wanted to keep the colours subtle.
Leaving the mask over the image randomly stamp the words over the blue inked areas right up the top of the card. For this I used a versamark ink pad. I then applied some blue perfect pearls over the wording to create a shimmering blue effect.
Remove your mask and place it back on the clear cellophane and keep for next time you may want it.
Stamp and emboss the Sandy toes wording.
Add a few birds. I believe these were from CI-209.
Now for the finishing touches. Using a white posca pen add some White Sea froth.
Add some sand around the little boys feet.
I then added a few specs of glitter to add a little bit of sparkle.
Then mount onto your card blank.
