Crafty individuals- Happy Christmas

Hi Everyone!!

I can’t believe it’s April and I’ve already made my first Christmas card! Last year I left it very last minute. To be honest I had no intention of starting this early but suddenly noticed that the new Crafty Individuals stamp CI-569 resembled the likeness to snowmen if you cut they’re legs off. Of course I couldn’t wait to try it out and this is the result.

I started off by randomly dabbing the ink on my messy mat - spritzing with water then placing the card in the ink. You can do this more than once until you have your desired look just make sure you dry it in between with a heat gun.
Once your satisfied with the look run the card through your die cutting machine with the snow effect embossing folder. I apologise but I can’t remember who made this one.

Use a nail file or a piece of sandpaper and run it over the raised embossed areas. This should strip the ink off to reveal the white card.

Apply some blue ink around the edge with your desired applicator

Then tear some strips of white card that measure the same width as your topper and again apply some ink to the edges.

I stamped and embossed the seagulls stamp - CI-569 a couple of times. This is so I can decoupage the image to create some depth.
Cut the images out - including some extra hats and scarves.

I then added some grey shading on the snowmen with watercolour pens and coloured the hat and scarves.

Add some fooling around the edge with a quickie glue pen.

Mount the topper onto a pre folded 6x6 card blank.

Stick all the parts of the snowmen together using silicone glue.
My plan was to keep this card really simple but when I laid the snowmen in place I decided it needed something, so........

I then decided to stamp CI-462 in green.

Carefully cut the tree in half.

Then stick the tree down behind the snowmen.
I also stuck a googley eye on the snowman.

Stamp the llama out twice - colour and cut the presents out.

Stick the presents in place and cut a small strip and stamp the wording happy Christmas.

This is the completed card.
