Have a woofly birthday

Hi Everyone!

Made this quick card a couple of weeks ago for a crafty friend.

Thought I’d try something different. Just lately I’ve tried to do little videos of how I make things. I really hope it works and this uploads properly. Just in case it doesn’t you can find the video showing how I created the background Here

Stamp and emboss the woofly birthday verse from
Daisy B.

Draw a Squigley border around the edge with a sharpie pen.

As you can could see from the video I used oxide inks to create this background. I absolutely love oxides but sometimes find they can make your project look a little dull. So I thought I’d try something different and apply some distress glaze. This stuff is brilliant and can be used for lots of different techniques which I will eventually share with you. Just rub it on with your finger and buff it off with some kitchen roll.

Applying the glaze gave a lovely finish to the background.

Stamp and emboss the dog and some accessories from the Tim Holtz crazy collection. I then fussy cut them. You can get matching dies for these stamps - which I do have but was being rather lazy and didn’t want to pull all my does out.

Colour them in - for this I used Arteza watercolour pens.

Stick your background onto a 5x7 pre folded card blank.
Then stick the dog and accessories in place. I then drew a line for the string of the balloon with a sharpie.

Apply some glossy accents to the balloon and leave to dry.

I also added some googly eyes.
