Crafty Individuals - burglar Cats

 Evening everyone!!!

These burglar cats were calling out to me this evening, so made this really quick card.

Stamp the image with black ink, apply clear embossing powder and emboss with a heat gun.

Cut around the image with some scissors.

Colour the image with pro markers. Use the blender pen to blend the green into the yellow.
I decided there was too much white border around the edge so trimmed it down some more.

I had so much fun creating this background as it's the first time doing an alcohol ink lift. I will do a video on how to do this very soon so do keep an eye on my YouTube Channel.
Add some isopropyl to yupo paper, then apply the alcohol inks. Using a handheld puffer move the ink around the paper. Once its dried add some ink to an applicator and dab it in the areas you desire.
Again wait for it to completely dry.
Dribble some alcohol ink lift along one of the edges and roll it across the paper with brayer. Try not to keep going back and forth with the brayer as it'll start pulling the ink off.
Place your card on the yupo and rub the back evenly to pick the ink up.
As you can see mine has a couple of smears but I'm not too worried as most of it'll be covered up anyway.

Distress the edges with Distress oxide to darken slightly.

Place the cats topper roughly where you want it and draw around with a pencil.

Use a dry brush to apply black gesso to create a feathery border. Think this has to be my new obsession as it sort of looks like torn handmade paper.

Mount the background onto some black card and onto a pre folded card blank.
Then stick the cats in place

Wanted burglar cat (crafty individuals)

Afternoon everyone!

Hope your all enjoying this lovely weather.

I could hear allot of scratching coming from my box of Crafty Individuals stamps, the burglar cats we're desperate to come out and play. Seeing as there rather naughty burglars I decided to make a wanted card - inspired by a sample card made by Isa C. Crafts

Stamp and emboss the cat from CI-571, then cut out the one with stripes. You can snip the tail off as you wont see when your card is complete.
Cut out a mount for the cat to sit on and colour with antique linen distress ink.

Colour the cat in - for this I used the spectrum noir tri-blend pens.

Cut a piece of card to fit on a pre-folded 5x7 card.
Using a brayer apply you oxide. I went for a rough/old look here.

Stamp the new counting down numbers background stamp with brown distress oxide.
This stamp will soon be available on the crafty individuals website - I will post a link to it as soon as it becomes available.

Stamp, emboss and cut out the woodware wanted stamp.
Using your desired applicator colour with brushed corduroy distress ink.

Stamp and emboss the burglar cats words from CI-570. Before inking this stamp I masked off the words 'and albert'. Once stamped I added a little dash after the name Syd and cut each of the words out. Colour each piece with brushed corduroy distress ink using an applicator of your choice.

You can now start piecing your card together. I used pinflair glue to stick the wanted section down so it was slightly raised from the rest of the card.

Finally stick some googly eyes on the cat.

Thank you for joining me.
