Crafty individuals wildflower and butterfly card

 Hi Everyone!!

Hope your all keeping safe and well.

Made this card for my lovely mum for Mother’s Day. I tried to avoid putting the words “happy Mother’s Day” on this as we found Mother’s Day particularly difficult. For those of you that know me will know that last year we lost my incredible Nan on Mother’s Day. So wanted to keep this simple.

I started by cutting a card blank to 5.5inches.
Dab your inks randomly on a piece of acetate and sprits with water.
Then apply to your piece of card and move the ink around to achieve your desired look.

Mask the bird off with some masking tape then ink the grasses. Peel the tape off before stamping. Stamp along the bottom section of the card - you will need to do this 2/3 times, each time masking the bird. Then emboss the grasses.

Cut a butterfly in both black and mirror card. Unfortunately I cant tell you the name of this butterfly as I bought it in a destash so didn't come with any packaging.

Using the spectrum noir sparkle pen - Drag the ink across the butterfly. This adds such a lovely shimmer effect.

Take the butterfly cut from mirror card and cut it in half and stick off centre behind the black butterfly to create a shadow effect.

Using the Hunkydory word dies cut 'special' and 'mum' out of black and mirror card.

Mount the black wording off centre on top of the mirror card wording to create a shadow.

Using the smallest butterfly on CI- 437 - take the one with the 'hole' in the centre and stamp in a colour of your choice but for this I used dusty concord.
Stamp the matching butterfly in black over the top.

You can now mount the topper onto a 6x6 card blank and stick your large butterfly and wording in place.

Thank you for reading and hope you join me again soon!!
